As a person interested in Milton issues, the League of Women Voters would like to invite you to become a member. By doing so, you will receive information about local, state and national activities and have an opportunity to meet and work with others who share your concerns. The League is open to all women and men who are eligible to vote.

Why Join the League of Women Voters?
Because by participating in the democratic process, you have an opportunity to make a difference. You can become a powerful and effective voice in issues that make a real difference to you.
As a member of the League of Women Voters, you can:
- Stay informed about issues, including the ones that directly affect your community;
- Make your views heard. As a member of the League you join a powerful force of women and men in all 50 states. When the League speaks, lawmakers listen!;
- Sharpen your skills and learn new ones. In the League, you gain valuable leadership, networking and public speaking experience as you learn about and act on important community issues;
- Receive publications. Members get local and state newsletters and a national magazine. The League is also known for a wide variety of in-depth publications on issues.
How Involved is membership in the League?
You can become as involved as you'd like. Many members like belonging to a local League in their own community and meeting for regular discussion of the issues. Others prefer "at large" membership and simply receive and read informative mailings that cover our state and national agenda.
Each member participates in the League as individual time permits. There is definitely a place for everyone and every lifestyle.
Even if you don't have the time now to be active in the League, your membership is important to the League's continued success.

Membership Application
Consider giving a gift membership to young people in your family who have recently registered to vote.
By joining the local League, you automatically become a member in the State and National Leagues of Women Voters. You will receive information on issues, programs and events from all three levels.
